Good idea or bad idea?
Fiverr is an online marketplace for freelance services. I hired five different "PC experts" to make me a custom parts list given a specific set of guidelines and budget. Let's see how they did...

I never had pay for a part list i always get my information free by asking friends but hey what you recommend me buying for a 2k build for extreme gaming and max fps and up too 2k or 4k graphics and light streaming and overclocked?? Can be pushed to 2.5k or 3k if anything
darkSorceror 7 өдрийн өмнө
You should do this another 4 times. Then you can have the five Fiverr fives. Pay them $1 each, and you get five Fiverr fives for a fiver.

I just built a PC using the r7 3700x and a sapphire 5700xt nitro+...this thing is a beast I can even play rpg games at 100 to 144fps with everything maxed out😂. Rise of the Tomb raider averages 98fps😂...if I remove the resolution scaling it gets almost 144fps😂...switching from intel to AMD was the best choice I made this year

I expected more from a tech MNpostr with over 2 million subsribers. 3600Mhz memory? For 60 fps gaming? Really? But that's not even half as bad as the disinformation you spread when it comes to PSUs. You make it sound as if 650W is actually a bare minimum to run this type of PCs whereas in reality a solid 400W PSU would handle them with no issues. And then guys like Steve at Gamers Nexus have to make dedicated videos explaining why you people overspend on PSUs.

On that first list, you say he could have improved with better memory and gpu, but where was he supposed to cut and keep under budget? Case? You say it's the right price? (Probably storage now that I think about it) (Then he shit on list 2 for not enough storage so who knows?)

During the 1st build, you kept saying he could have gone with "...." and saved some money elsewhere, yet you don't give specific examples. Wth? Each time you should have said which items could be reduced, and which items could have been improved, and shown the facts. Instead, you just say he could have improved something, but how could he when the budget doesn't allow? lol ..

Gotta be honest the second parts list was better imo because defo better overall specs and upgrading storage is so easy and is getting cheaper by the day, anyway, its not like you will use all 500gb instantly so you do have time to upgrade Bit late to the party

First guy.... could up the ram frequency to 3600 and gpu to the xt version. Second guy.... does exactly that but gets a lower rating. 🧐 I would take the second list any day. It’s easier to add a HDD afterward than it is to upgrade ram or gpu.

"Hopefully the add revenue makes up for it" GTFO dude...for a million views you can make thousands of dollars. I know YT has been dogshit for a few years now, but this "omg I spent 70$" attitude, for a channel with hundreds of millions of views is just pathetic.

I feel like if I was to do this I'd just keep doing revisions until the customer is 100% happy with all the parts and work with them all the way instead of, hey here's like 2 more tries then you're locked in with whatever I send you. Like just make a dedicated Discord server and even chat with these people in voice or text in real-time would probably make them feel more comfortable.

I disagree about the second guy. I definitely prefer his choice of less storage with better performance, given that the internet speeds these days make having only one game on your pc somewhat of a decent option. Also storage is way easier of an upgrade, no matter how little you know about computers. Just chuck a 1tb hdd in there down the line, and that's only if you actually need it.

I mean, I know it's five bucks (well, 14 bucks, but still), but why on earth would you spend money for this when there are thousands of build guides available on youtube alone? And then there's way more forums / reddit etc where you can just ask "Hey, I want 1440p gaming, 60fps, for a thousand bucks. What do you guys recommend?" and you'll get hundreds of people offering you build options. I like fiverr, you can get good, solid stuff on there, but paying for someone to pick your parts is just silly.

I put a 500gb ssd & 2 Tb HDD in my first computer...the HDD never got used. Now I use a 1 Tb nvme as main with the old 500gb ssd as secondary, and it still never gets used. (The HDD is still there, too, but it really never gets used.) Also, getting a super-cheap mobo is a bad idea (or super-cheap parts in general; don't do it).

I thought my parts list was cheap an unique, it was nearly identical to the first one also I thought some aspects of my build were overkill but I saw the last one and thought “you know what, I think mine is fine” I haven’t built my pc yet but here’s my parts: Ryzen 7 2700x, Msi B450 tomahawk max mobo, 16 gg of g.skill trident z rgb, a phanteks P300a I believe is what it was called, wd blue 500 gb m.2 ssd (I already have a hard drive) and an evga 700 watt 80+ bronze psu. Total is about 820 dollars Canadian not including taxes. I think it’s a pretty solid build but I’m open to suggestions

tbh I prefer the 2nd list, as you can always add that extra storage for example when you get paid next month, it really isn't that expensive, and for the initial build can help you cut some corners so you can go all out on the more important stuff which is the CPU,GPU, RAM and PSU, which unlike storage, you can't really add-on better or more without having to switch the previous ones entirely, so I don't agree with you there.

If you don’t have a usb 3.2 gen 2 header (for what I think is usb-c) then go with a different case, not h510, because the usb-c will not be usable, also the h510 has like a single usb front I/o header Edit: you knowledge of computers is somewhat good.... butttttt 1600af will totally bottleneck 2060, if you don’t want to bottleneck it go with 3600 or more, and go with NVIDIA, just, go with I nvidia.
